Zasshi Japanese Bistro - Mazatlán

If you want great sushi, you must visit zasshi! Their menu is extensive. Everything we’ve tried has been excellent. Located in the golden zone. Very clean and great service. You won’t be disappointed.

We live about ten minutes away and have eaten here four times in the last couple of weeks. The sushi rolls, miso soup and jasmine tea were delicious and we just keep coming back for more. The menu is in Spanish, but not too hard...to translate for us. A couple of waiters know some English and always helped us with our selections. It's very clean and neat inside and above par for most sushi restaurants we've tried in town. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

We went online to look at reviews for restaurants in Mazatlan. Zasshi had good reviews so we decided to try it. Let me first say that they do not have a menu that is printed in English. I know we were tourist in a foreign...land, but EVERY other restaurant we went to had an English menu, as a huge part of the economy in Mazatlan comes from English speaking tourists. So right away we had no idea what we were reading. The wait staff tried to help, but only spoke some English as well. My wife and I ended up ordering shrimp fried rice, which was not very good. My kids ordered Sushi rolls and they enjoyed them. The only good part was that the bill was cheap. There are too many great restaurants in Mazatlan, so unless you are just desperate for Sushi, and can read Spanish very well, I would give Zasshi a miss.
