Busy place a little pricey but very helpful.i was glad they are posted on goggle . Cause Towners don't know where to find bait or so
Decided to give their milkshakes a try and while it isn't Braum's which is built around ice cream their milkshakes are really good and fairly priced. Highly recommend giving them a try.
We had just missed the diner. They said they closed at 7pm, but what they meant to say was that the store closes at 7pm and the food side closed at 630pm. I missed supper by 5 mins.
The little convenience store and bait shop known as TJs is a busy stop on the far north side of town for locals. But there's a little extra offered if you bring an appetite. I occasionally stop in for classic deli meat sandwiches on sliced bread. Let's be honest, we all know a plain ol' sandwich on light bread is way better when someone else makes it for you. I again had Oliver's Sandwich--it's not on the menu but it's buttered and toasted bread, topped with fried bologna, a perfectly fried egg, benefited by the addition of crisp bacon, then American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, and dressed with both mayo and mustard. Like take me back home to the days of my summer youth!! So tasty and perfect for lunch! No sides were needed because its a big sandwich and is incredibly filling. Maybe room for improvement with a slice of cheddar instead of American but it's already so so good as is. TJs also has a menu offering a variety of options like different types of burgers (bacon, Swiss, patty melt, etc), hot sandwiches, a variety of cold sandwiches, and sides like tots or fries. I've before had a couple burgers and they've all been good, it's just this is my go to place for fried bologna sandwiches. The store has lots of drinks, chips, snacks, and hotbox items to choose from to accompany a meal. The ladies behind the kitchen counter are always accommodating and friendly, and they're quick to get the order made and served to the table if eating in. There's half a dozen tables near the cashiers counter that will seat up to 6-8 each. The tables are near windows so you can sit and watch outside too. It's busy, and there's most usually lots of people going in and out, getting fuel or bait. Stop for whatever is needed but if you desire a meal they certainly have worthwhile sandwiches.
