Great dinner today. Service was on point. Food was all great. We had a party of 25 and the waitress did incredible!
I would not completely agree that this restaurant outshines Carino's, but it certainly has Ambience and I feel they do a better job on the Calamari and Marinara Sauce. The service is excellent, clientele is interesting, and, yes, there is a young man who wanders the tables singing Opera pieces and stuff like O Sole Mio rather skillfully which is unique for the Valley. I ordered Linguine with Mussels and, well, I learned that mussels dont really freeze very well. Their Fettucine Alfredo is exceptcional, however. I sincerely recommend it and the location is quite accessible and convenient.
Best Italian Franchise in the Valley. For awhile I was trying to support the 'little guy ' places instead of franchises, and was going to the Republic of the Rio Grande, Housewine, El Divino, Alhambra, etc never mind that. The Macaroni Grill will never fail. As far as Italian franchises in the valley go, it puts the Olive Garden and Johnny Carino 's to shame. Very professional service, excellent food (even the complimentary rosemary bread is great!!! it even has Italian language lessons in the bathroom and a guy who sings birthday songs in a deep italian voice! fantastic. yum!
Tasty well prepared Italian. A step above Italian chains such ad Olive Garden but our server made us feel about as unwelcome as we have ever felt. He seemed to resent having to wait on us. He spoke two sentences and that is all. He did not respond to my words at all. We eat out 300 days a year and usually leave 16-30%. I 'm not sure we will leave 10% this time. Wonderful food on a cool evening sitting by 'real fire ' fireplace, a special night for Valentine 's Day. Ernie, our waiter, should have stayed home!
