Definitely a unique experience. I didn't care for some of the down home fixin'z however... it felt a little bit like an escape room with food one of your country neighbors may have cooked
Always a good home cooked meal lots of yummy veggies. Only complaint this time was the field peas and snaps the peas were not cooked completely and uncooked beans of any sort can be toxic to humans due to the lectin content so I hope nobody gets ill fromeating the undercooked field peas
The Dinner Bell is an awesome place to eat. You sit at this big round table that you can turn and pick whatever you want to eat. The food is really good, and the people starts a conversation with one another, and everyone's like one big family. The owner, and servers are great! I think it's a wonderful place to dine!
I really want to rate it 3.5. For its history and unique vibe only. Food is very bland and mediocre. I guess its like grandma 's years ago although my grandmother was a fabulous cook but most people are not that lucky. I would go again with a groupthat wanted to eat there if that was what they wanted, but I would not go out of my way. Mostly canned vegetables. Sweetpotatoes and eggplant are good. Chicken is ok. Mine was dry. So is the cornbread.
