Taco Burrito Express - McHenry

The food was excellent. The steak was well-seasoned. They truly live up to their name; the service is both fast and friendly.

So damn good. Better then the Mexican food in Arizona. Hopefully this place never ever goes out of business.

This was my first visit to the restaurant. The tacos were excellent, especially the al pastor. The toppings included salad and tomato, but I was surprised by what seemed to be the American version. Next time, I’ll likely ask for cilantro and perhaps some additional toppings.

She opted for the Bacon Burrito without any sides, and she found it delicious, akin to a BLT but even better. It was a lighter meal, though, so if you're really hungry, you might want to consider ordering more. She managed to finish it all. I went for the Steak Burrito with fresh jalapeños, also without sides. It wasn’t the best I’ve had, but it was still very good. I particularly enjoyed the crispness of the tortilla and the balanced fillings that provided consistent flavor throughout. The portion size was more akin to small or medium, so if you're feeling quite hungry, it might be a good idea to order some appetizers or sides. **Prices:** Fairly priced for the quality and quantity you receive. **Overall:** I would recommend giving this place a try. While it’s not my favorite spot, I’d definitely consider returning if I’m in the area—perhaps to sample the Bacon Burrito next time.

We absolutely love this place! We’ve never dined in since the front dining area is small and quite generic. Instead, it’s always been our go-to spot for takeout, and it seems like there are always customers waiting inside after placing their orders, so they're clearly doing well. We usually order the enchiladas and burritos, and they have consistently been excellent. Their hot salsa is fantastic, too. The service has always been courteous and quick. We often make a point to stop by whenever we're passing through. Yum!
