I wasn't a fan of the crab cake, but that was just an extra addition to my meal. The wings and fries were fresh, the coleslaw was really tasty, and there was a generous amount of food for the price. I also appreciated the two pieces of bread that came with my chicken. As a Georgia native, I would compare this restaurant to Bojangles and I have to say it's even better than Hook. I'm excited to come back and try the fish next time!
The new management team has completely turned around the service and food quality at this restaurant. It's the best fried food I've had since moving from the South. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the place is clean and inviting. I would highly recommend it, 10/10!
I tried the gyro fries at this restaurant and was impressed by the large portion size. The gyro was nearly a foot long and packed with meat, onions, lettuce, tomato, and cucumber sauce, all wrapped in authentic pita bread. The fries were seasoned with sweet lemon pepper, a nice touch from the new owners who are Jordanian immigrants recently arrived in McKeesport. They seem to have experience in making fried fish and chicken dishes as well. They offer some halal (zabihah) menu options, but it's best to inquire with them directly.
The restaurant had immaculate cleanliness and the staff, despite their diverse ethnic backgrounds, were professional and easy to communicate with.
I tried calling the restaurant for 2 hours but they did not answer the phone.
