Fuddruckers it was!<br/ <br/ Om: I’ve only been to this location only once before and it was over a year ago. On a Saturday afternoon the restaurant was quite busy for lunch, but it’s large dining area can handle everyone just fine. They have a nice variety of sandwiches to choose from besides burgers, however I went with some kind of kobe beef burger with bacon and an egg – that kind of beef costs a bit more, but is also healthier…I think! Nom ordered her food, and we got a basket of onion rings French fries. The multiple TV’s showing college games made the wait go by fast, and our burgers were ready in less than 10 minutes. Fuddrucker’s serves their burgers without condiments because they provide a small bar with all the fresh condiments that you need! Everything looked fresh. The burger was outstanding! It was cooked to order (medium), the egg was cooked just as I wanted, and it was plenty juicy. The wedge fries had some seasoning on them, giving extra flavor. Onion rings were also good, just needed some salt. It was about $30 for two kobe burgers and the onion rings/fries basket, a bit expensive but we knew that when we ordered. I topped it off with a cookies cream shake. Surprise! It was probably the second best shake I’ve had! Finally something that rivals Alamo Drafthouse! There are a lot of choices for a burger in McKinney, and this is definitely in the upper half.<br/ <br/ Nom: I really hadn’t even noticed this Fuddruckers! So much for paying attention to my surroundings… It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and I was starving so we went to Fuddruckers for a burger! They were really quite busy for the time of afternoon we went so I was a bit surprised. The restaurant is large and was very clean, also it was pretty handy that they had TVs up so we got to catch some college football while we waited and during our meal! I ordered the cheddar bacon Kobe burger 1/3 lb. I ordered it medium rare but it came out more than medium. For some reason I thought it would be a tastier burger because it was Kobe but it really wasn’t. I don’t want to say it was not a good burger because it was really good, just didn’t meet my expectations for a more expensive Kobe burger. I wouldn’t order it again I’d go with a regular burger next time because I think it would be cooked better and be more flavorful. I like the fact you can see them cook your food so bonus points and for the fixings bar where you can choose your fixings and condiments! The onion rings were very nice and I was surprised by how flavorful and tasty the wedge fries were! I did take a taste of Om’s shake and it was great! Almost as good as an Alamo Drafthouse shake! I’d really like to return to this place because they serve a tasty burger!!!
The last time.... I had been to a Fuddruckers was over 10 years ago I remembered it being good and finally decided to try the one in McKinney, only 10 minutes away from where I live. <br/ <br/ Decided to play it safe and get a bacon cheeseburger. Took a little under 10 minutes for the burger to come out. Threw some lettuce and tomato on it from the condiment bar (which looked very fresh) and chowed down. Burger was very juicy, but was slightly toasted, and it had very good flavor. Fries were your normal wedge fries, nothing too special there. Very good atmosphere for Sunday around 5:00 too, a bit busier than I expected it to be. I tried Scotty P's burgers 4 6 weeks ago, what I would think would be a similar experience. I ended up like Fuddrucker's better due to the better tasting burger and atmosphere.<br/ <br/ Very solid burger joint, bonus points that it's close to where I live. Would definitely go back.
Are here with my family today, great tasting burgers, just like I remembered from growing up. It’s hard to believe I used to go here a lot as a kid after church… and now rarely go. The burger I got was a ⅓ lb with American cheese, cooked well done, with fries and a water. Added all the fresh veggies myself, which I love because it’s not too much and not too little! The jalapeño cheese sauce to dip fries in can’t be beat… I know it’s really bad for you, but this was a splurge! My husband got the ½ lb with cheddar, cooked well done, fries and a soda from the self-serve tech-y dispenser. He tried the proprietary cherry cream soda and didn’t really care for it, so stuck with trusty Coca-Cola instead. My foreign exchange student, from France, loves American food. As such, I always order her extra large everything lol! I got her the 1 lb hangover burger, with two over-medium fried eggs, American cheese cooked well done, oh and fries! She loves bbq sauce so she put some on her burger and opted for a side of it instead of the cheese sauce. We would definitely come back to this Fudrucker’s again! It was very clean and the staff were kind and friendly.
Food prep time and doneness were inconsistent during my recent visit. In general, burgers are great compared to most places.
Food was great n fast service, good spacing and atmosphere
