The Currant Shed - MCLAREN FLAT

Wow what a fabulous experience. Food was amazing and beautifully presented. From the minute we arrived till the end of our very long lunch was faultless. Beautiful taste sensations arrived with complimentary tasting plates before our starters and they were a sign of the good things to come! both the pork and the lime tart were amazing. The wait staff were attentive and friendly and the venue, set in amongst the vines on one side and orchard on the other were perfect for our celebration lunch. Can't wait for our next visit

What a wonderful venue for a celebration. The service was outstanding and the meal superb. While main meal size was not very big it was tasty and well presented. The menu offers a variety of food to suit all palates but it was the unexpected little tasting extras that were provided which included, Oysters, prawns, whipped Brie with carrot chips that made our day. The lime pie was the pick of the desserts with the best pastry I have had in a long long while.The wine was reasonably priced and easy probably too easy to drink.At completion of our meal we were provided with a netting bag and invited to fill it with fresh lines from the orchard.Most enjoyable will definitely go again

Wow!..what can we say about The Currant Shed that has not already been said in other reviews!? Recommended last Thursday as McLaren Vales hidden secret, we were intrigued and The Currant Shed did not disappoint. Truly, from wonderful service to sublime seasonal dishes, Lunch perfection! The Currant Shed lived up to the recommendation and we will most certainly be back. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff for creating a truly memorable experience for my husband and I. Cheers! 5 of us visited on a Thursday afternoon in June. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door by a friendly member of staff and shown straight to our table. Water was provided while we checked out the menu and this was kept topped up throughout our visit. Our drinks order was taken shortly afterwards from their extensive drinks menu. The starters were beautifully presented and the main course did not disappoint either. Everyone ordered something different and it was great to try a bit of the other meals; all of which were delicious. We also ordered desserts which were again beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The service was informal yet informed. We all came away full and very happy about our choice for lunch on a wet Thursday afternoon. Throughly recommended and we will return!

We visited for lunch with our family after hearing good things about the Currant Shed and we were not disappointed. The crispy pasta was an amazing dish and the snapper was cooked to perfection. Try the lime tart - it is to die for!! The service was perfect, attentive but not intrusive, and the wine list was a great accompaniment to the food. I would definitely eat here again!
