We had a late lunch booking at 2:15pm and were 5 minutes late, but there was no one to greet us and our table had been given away. Eventually, we were seated but had to wait for 15 minutes without being attended to by the staff. The menu had limited options for those who cannot eat wheat, with only pizza available. The chicken salad, which was on the special board, was already sold out. My husband ended up ordering a plate meant for 3-4 people but it was mostly filled with crackers, bread, and minimal toppings. The pizza was okay but nothing special. Overall, our experience was disappointing, especially considering the international guests we had brought with us. We did not return to the restaurant and hope that it was just an off day for them.
If you haven't discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant yet, you simply must visit.
My family visited us from the USA and I wanted to show them McLaren Vale. We had never heard of Beach Road Vines, but the pictures we saw online looked nice so we took a chance. Upon arrival, we were seated at a beautiful table with a stunning view. I was blown away by how breathtaking it was. They had a small but lovely selection of wines, with tastings for only $10! It was a great deal. The staff was amazing. My sister and I did a tasting and the fantastic Toby guided us through the wines. He was friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and very generous with his time. He also had excellent taste in music. We ended up staying longer than we had planned because Toby truly made our experience special. We couldn't stop raving about him. The wine was excellent and the food was incredible. We ordered a cheese board and four different pizzas, and everything was outstanding. My partner and I are already looking forward to returning!
We had a spectacular lunch and wine tasting experience. The pizzas where delicious and the wine tasting was very informative. The children's package was excellent for the children.
We have been trying to get here for so long and they are always booked out. We booked online and the only option was 2 course meal for $40 We were served by 4 different people asking for our order. We did the wine tasting...and the platter to start, we thought we were getting a shared platter but received sliced pizza with dip and a huge cheesy garlic pizza. We had finished our wine tasting then a tossed salad with no dressing arrived. So random we said it wasn’t our but that is part of the platter!!! Go figure About 1 hour later our pizza arrived. They were absolutely amazing but the entree had so much bread in it we couldn’t eat the pizzas. We were so disappointed. So disorganised and the entrees were so confusing I honestly couldn’t recommend this place because unless you can eat bread bread and gluten you will struggle like we did The view is amazing but disorganised service and a platter of bread ruined our day
