Coastal Flats - McLean

It was my second visit to the Coastal Flat and I wasn?t disappointed. The visit was many years ago and wasn?t memorable. The bread basket was hot donuts which I always enjoyed at the Great American Restaurants chains. We started off with baby crab slider. While it was good, in my taste it was too heavily seasoned. I order Pecan crusted trout based on reviews here and I wasn?t disappointed. Shrimp with grit was very good except we found it a bit heavy.

Offers good sea food of various kinds. Food was well cooked and very tasty.Ordered Cheese burger with bacon with Bud light beer.The atmosphere was friendly and lively at the same time.

Everything was wonderful, food and our server Delvon was wonderful. The 4 stars are because they couldn't seat our party in better seats. Everyone enjoyed their meals and my steak was cooked correctly! The pineapple mojito was nice! The calamari was perfectly fried and lightly breaded, I would have rather had the sauce on the side to keep it crispy but it was still good. Great and (relatively) healthy food at a surprisingly affordable price! If you?re already in the mall for shopping and want some place good to sit down and relax, Coastal Flats is definitely recommended. The beach thematic, the nice decoration, the relaxed ambiance and the tasty seafood are the key takeaways.

I love this restaurant. Been there several times. First, the food is delicious. Secondly, for a restaurant in a mall in No. Virginia, the prices are pretty fair. The waitstaff is always excellent. Finally, I am not a fan of well-lit spaces and I know there are others like me. This location is dimly lit which produces the perfect ambience for a cozy meal with your significant other, family, or friends.
