Contribuisci feedback**October 2021:** The sushi here is decent, the service is good, but there was one troubling incident that caused me to deduct a star. All the staff are wearing masks, and there are barriers between the booths as well as along the conveyor belt to separate the different directions. I can’t quite recall if there’s a barrier between the bar seating and the kitchen area. The incident happened when I saw a large fly trapped on one of the sushi plates on the conveyor belt. It seems that the staff pre-make the sushi and other dishes, cover them, and stack them on one side of the counter. When a dish runs low on the conveyor, they simply replenish it from the stack. The setup allows them to easily add or remove different items since there’s an open access from the kitchen for most of the belt's length. While the covers have holes for air circulation, they aren't particularly large. I suspect the fly probably got in before the sushi plate was covered, rather than crawling through a hole. The quality of the sushi was surprisingly good for a mall setting, and they offer some interesting rolls. The most notable were the PB&J roll (which is self-explanatory) and the Maryland Crab roll (made with real crab and generously sprinkled with Old Bay, served with lemon on the side). Personally, I thought the Maryland crab roll had a bit too much Old Bay for my taste. I didn't see any sashimi on the conveyor belt, so it seems you have to place a separate order for that. The spider roll was rather disappointing, lacking in substance.
I had a fantastic time at this restaurant! The dining experience is fun and interactive, which really adds to the overall atmosphere. The plates are reasonably priced between $4 and $7, allowing you to try a variety of dishes without breaking the bank. The soft drinks are both tasty and unlimited, which is a great perk. While there are only a limited number of hot non-sushi options, the selection of snacks and desserts is extensive and definitely worth checking out. The seating options include both bar-style and cozy booths, making it a comfortable place to enjoy your meal.
We had our first experience with Kaitenzushi dining, and it was enjoyable. I can overlook the fact that the seating was so close together that we literally bumped into the person next to us. Although we weren't very hungry, we ended up trying the spider roll, blue crab roll, salmon and avocado roll, and also ordered a poke bowl. The prices were quite reasonable, and everything we tried was good.
I Absolutely adore the concept of this place. The conveyor belt interactive concept where you just sit down, and grab a plate from the moving belt, and prices are depending to the color of the plate chosen. Plates range anywhere from around $3.50-$8 I believe. You can get a decent roll consisting of about 4 to 5 pieces for $5. Oh, I should add that the rolls are not full rolls most of the quality ones have 5 pieces tops. But there are some other rolls with about 6 to 8 piecestoo, I got the Tyson's Dragon roll this visit, i loved the dragon roll, the presentation is cute the eel was yummy. This particular visit I didn't think my cup was too clean but in good faith it could've been stained from previousorders (as it seems like their designated cup for green tea) Do not expect a Japanese steakhouse type of sushi quality, or even too much of the best mom and pop (small) sushi restaurants that you've been to. The big thing about this placeis more so the experience of it all and how cool the conveyor belt is. But with that being said ...I have always enjoyed sushi here every time I visited wasabi. 2.5 stars but the experience makes it a solid 3.
This was a fun experience in eating sushi. You basically grab a plate as it motors by on the conveyor. Different color plates have different prices. It was a good way to enjoy different kinds of sushi and it all tasted good. The service and presentation are a bit lacking, however, when you get used to the concept it can be an easy fun way to fill up.
