The eclectic design is particularly charming and completes the experience. But after hearing the move to the country club, I'm worried. The city center is what keeps you so busy despite the long waiting period for orders. I have no desire to ever eat at the country club, even if it's convenient to me. The element is unfortunately not desirable for the average citizen in this city. I'll enjoy it while it's in your city center, but after that we'll go on. The best of wishes.
In 2018-2019, I frequently visited Motlow for lunch, snacks, tea, and study breaks, often accompanied by friends or sometimes alone. During that time, I was dealing with health issues that made walking painful and often left me feeling nauseous. Kimmi and Mark were incredibly kind and attentive; they remembered my group and our names and knew my order by heart. On tough days, their kindness uplifted my spirits. Mark even shared that he knew someone else who struggled with similar health problems, and he would offer me free peppermint tea whenever he noticed I wasn’t feeling well. They have such warm hearts, and their loyalty to regular customers is truly remarkable. They work hard, and the food is always delicious!
Afternoon tea is perfect... a true celebration! Delicious and beautifully served. Kimmi and Mark are enthusiastic owners.
Overall, most of the food at the restaurant was excellent. The desserts were a delight for anyone with a sweet tooth. However, the individual quiche was disappointing in every way—dry, overcooked, and certainly not worth the price; I would recommend avoiding it at all costs. The atmosphere had a charming English vibe, likely due to the fact that half of the staff is from England. With only the two owners managing all aspects of the restaurant, things can get a bit hectic, and there were times when our orders got overlooked, including our request for sugar with the coffee. That said, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit. It has strong support from the locals, which is always a good sign, and it comes highly recommended by nearby providers. Plus, it’s quite budget-friendly.
It was a fantastic dinner with a generous amount of food. The dessert was also incredibly tasty!
