My wife and I were looking for a quality sit down restaurant near our hotel in Usaquin. This restaurant was recommended to us. Wow, we certainly are grateful for the recommendation. This is mainly a seafood restaurant specializing in local and sustainable fish. We found the fish to be perfectly cooked and the sauces to be excellent. We also loved the asparagus appetizer. The space itself is very nice and the waiter was excellent. It surprises me that this place is so hard to find on Tripadvisor. I would’ve thought it would high in the list of restaurants. Instead, a nearby place with mostly fried fish in a mall food court was highly rated. That certainly was not what we were looking for. We were glad that we persisted inlooking.
Have dined at 80 Sillas, Horatio, Black Bear and the original Central of the Takami Group of restaurants that Andrew Blackbourn has helped create over the past 10 plus years in Bogota. The availability of an continually improving availability of good restaurants in Bogota is a very positive statement for chefs such as Andrew and a select group of other chefs. This time visiting 80 Sillas .... chef Diego Betancur treated guests with a fish (Corvina) from the oven .... very well done with a great sauce. Our server suggested a nice Spanish Primitivo that paired very well with the entree. Will definitely return next time in Bogota!!
After a full day of activities we opted to visit this restaurant. The ceviche criollo (appetizer) was amazing. The two fish dishes we ordered was of high quality. They where very tasteful, and the presentation was nice. If you want to splurge in Usaquen, this is the place.
