We ordered Montaditos for starters (various srumptuous toppings chicken, shrimps, pork, beef and more on oval roasted bread. I could have eaten more of these, they were so good. For Entrees I had the salmon with carmelised onions, potatoes and salad. My partner had the Solomito (Rind with Blue Cheese). Both dishes were very good. We also order a half carafe of very good Sangria (not part of the specially appreciated MG menu, but it seemed a better match than just a glass of ordinary wine. On their main menu they have 25 different types of Montaditos (wow! plus 20 types of Spanish tapas, which also for a whole meal if you wish. They also offer a selection of Montaditos or Tapas in selected packages for the exchange between 2, 3 or 4 persons. Note this is a small cozy place that is a meeting point with a high level of conversation sounds, so don't expect a quiet, romantic escape to come here. The restaurant is completely open at the front of the street, and it must occasionally keep local street actors and entertain the diners with their singing and instruments playing skills (or the lack of it). The service is very good in every respect and we really enjoyed our dinner here. I believe they also have a location in the beautiful Mercado del Rio restaurant collection.
What a cool idea! My wife and I just stopped walking around the circle and what a find! Great atmosphere and killer food. The servers were super attentive and helpful. We ordered 8 Montaditos to share, but I could have eaten 8 myself because they were so good! Cool small open sandwiches, bruchetta style. Order a bunch and share everything. Thursdays has a special place where they are only 2,000COP ever!!! Fill the belly!
Good service, good Sangria, interesting tapas. At the expensive end but for wine and food for Medellin.
Montaditos is a Spanish tapas restaurant that is easy, casual, timely service, and the BEST food I have eaten in Colombia !!!!! Prices are cheap and the staff is super friendly. I had the best burrata I have ever had anywhere in the world. The balsamic vinegar was a delicious reduction...and the olive oil top quality. The rest of the food was on par with that....just don't want to bore you with the details..... I HIGHLY recommend this place.
We went without any expectations, so was a good experience. We get the menu and you should make your own request, so is not easy to fill. We went Friday night, so parking was not easy, the service was good as the food was.
