I love this kind of restaurant- essentially an fully enclosed but open patio in the middle of a building. Beautiful atmosphere, good service, and the food is pretty good (though inconsistent) My issue is their bad coffee. It’s amazing and disheartening that in a country...in which I’ve had some of the finest cups of coffee in my remarkable life, so many places still boil their grounds in a percolator. Worse yet, right next door is a coffee/pastry shop with killer coffee. I found myself going for the Continental Breakfast of pastries and coffee even though I wanted the more traditional breakfast. Bad coffee is a dealbreaker, especially in Colombia.
This cute breakfast/lunch place is bot only cozy and charming, the food was amazing. The service might seem a tad slow but you have to factor that everything is made from scratch. The place has charm and is part of an experience. Fair prices, huge...portions and food is absolutely fantastic. I have breakfast or lunch here everytime I'm in El Poblado. A heads up, lunch is served until 2 p.m. so plan accordingly.
Love this cute Colombian breakfast spot! They make a mean scrambled eggs and beans with rice dishes! The bone broth soup is pretty good too. I also enjoyed the cute and peaceful setting of the restaurant, even though it’s situated right off of the main...street Calle 10. Like the food so much, I came back twice during my 5 day visit!
The food is good. Prices are good but service is ok. One day it was good but the next day it was terrible. And to me asking about why my food was taking so long, the waitress put it on me, saying that I ordered...steak and that’s why. They were super busy and probably short handed. But I didn’t appreciate her answer. When we got our food it was cold. You will find typical items like calentado, huevos, arepa, juices, caldo etc.
