Pikaichi - Medford

Super cute! Feels very much like a food stall picked up in a Japanese alley and dropped in Medford. Really great value for excellent ramen.Food: 5/5

The soup is not overbearing, the flavors are well balanced. The restaurant is amazing. Truly authentic. I strongly recommend. This is the place if you love RamenVegetarian options: They have a couple of delicious veggie ramen options.

Some of the best ramen I've ever had! The first day I went there I had the Hokkai Shio ramen $9.99) and the next day I had the Spicy Miso $10.49 but a few extra dollars since I added extra noodles, half an egg, and crispy fried onions. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the crispy fried onions since they were soggy and didn't add much to the ramen). The amount of quality food you get for these prices is just incredible, I've been to ramen shops that charge double for food that isn't anywhere near this good.Service was great, the servers were always very attentive to our needs and were very cheerful. Everyone there is super polite and greets you when you come in and says goodbye when you leave.The atmosphere was very cozy, it's not a large shop but it was warm and inviting, and they had origami cranes hanging from their walls which was very cool to look at. Definitely a conversation starter.10/10, can't wait to return!

Fire ramen! Broth is outstanding and flavorful. The noodles are bouncy and chewy. So good!

Pretty disappointed.Start with the food quality. The broth was pretty flavorful but lacked the rich creaminess I typically expect. The noodles were ok. There was no egg at all which is what pushed it down to two stars. The pork was a bit thin for me and not as melt in your mouth as the best places have.The quantity: small. Surprisingly small. They give you a small container of broth and it isn’t even 2/3rds full, just over half. Maybe it is bigger if you order in.The people being friendly and the restaurant being clean is the only thing that keeps this above 1 star for me.I was hoping to get here for a few years and the one time I stopped in the wait was super long but what I had seen it seemed good. I really wanted this to be a go to spot.
