I've been a loyal customer since it started at Super88 in Allston, and I've followed it to its new location in Medford. The quality has remained consistent over the past five years. The service is outstanding, and the prices are lower than most ramen places in the area, yet the quality is still exceptional. While wait times and parking can be a bit challenging, it's definitely worth it. I usually order the Jigoku Ramen, adding extra toppings like additional noodles, chashu rice, and a whole egg. My total usually comes to about $16-17. The Jigoku has a mild spice level, and the portion size is generous for the price. The extra noodles are great for soaking up the leftover broth, while the rice complements the dish. It may be a bit salty for some, but I find it perfectly balanced with the noodles and rice. Overall, it remains one of my top ramen spots in the entire city, and I will definitely keep returning.
Broth is fantastic. Super flavorful. Best noodles of anyplace I've been in Massachusetts. Update 2024: Still the best noodles and service in MA!!
As the saying goes, don't judge a book by its cover. The outside looks pretty bad. The inside looks ok, but nothing fancy. This place serves Ramen. I have never thought much about Ramen, but then I have mostly had it in packages. This changed my mind. It was really good. There was a lot of flavor. I got the spicy and it had a good kick. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. The place was clean. This place is well worth the money. There is not a lot of seating, it seems like most do takeout. Try it either way, you won't regret it.
Nice rendition of ramen. A tad salty for us but probably ok for most. Very quick once you sit and order. There was a table of six that were so loud in the small dining area that it made for a less than pleasant dining experience. Would probably do take out next time. Would recommend the ramen.
Yuzu can be hard to balance correctly in ramen without overwhelming everything else, they did a great job! Noodle texture was divine, very tasty broth.
