Silver Dragon - Medford

Be careful people, because this place uses MSG! After suffering from a severe reaction, I called the next morning and asked the person who answered the phone if they use MSG. She said yes, especially in the pork fried rice, the gravy for the egg foo yung, and anything that has brown sauce. After suffering from coughing, a headache, a swollen tongue, and confusion, I won't be back. I don't want to take the chance. These places should be required to say up front whether they do or do not use MSG, and at least give people choice to order without. Oh, and the food wasn't that great either, everything tasted the same. The one bright spot was the service, which was given thoroughly and with a very cheery attitude.

I have been eating at the Silver Dragon for as long as I can remember. I did try almost all of the other 'Chinese ' restaurants in Grants Pass Medford, OR; and none compare to the Silver Dragon!! They may not be right out of 'China Town ', but I have eaten at a few places in Seattle that did not compare with the Silver Dragon either! We just ordered some dinner to bring home and ENJOY.....so, as far as we are concerned; the 'Silver Dragon ' remains our FAVORITE Chinese restaurant! To each his own, and I thank God daily that we all have differences, for boring it would be, if we were all exactly alike!! If you haven 't tried the Silver Dragon, I HIGHLY recommend it!

People keep telling me this is the best Chinese food in Medford area. Sad to say this place would be a joke in say any Chinatown in America. This is worse than the place you never went back to in Seattle, San Francisco, NYC, etc. Do they even use a wok? Serious, if any one wants to have a very successful restaurant here open up a Chinese food restaurant with like...Chinese food. Actually, I did hear of a new place opening Yummy Yans? ...look for my review..

Just recently went to eat with some friends I said I want two people for the dinner menu and they charge me $55 for three people and when I asked for to replace something with shrimp cuz I'm allergic to it they couldn't do it this place horrible they should exchange the shrimp with something else I will never go back

Update we tried to give this place another chance. And we sat inside. And when the air conditioning came on the overwhelming smell of rodent pee was so bad we had to leave immediately. Even the children could smell it and were coughing. This place is beyond over priced in the last year they have literally doubled in price and their portion to go boxes have shrunk significantly. Not worth the money.
