This place feels like an outdated, expired media restaurant, where the only option is a 4-course dinner. After my guest and I left without ordering, Groupon refunded my money. As a result, my only choice was to give a one-star rating across all categories.
I found their website had an à la carte menu, but when I arrived, only three tables were occupied. Despite that, they refused to serve me anything but the four-course fixed menu. I was only interested in one specific dish, but they would not allow me to order it on its own. I cannot recommend this restaurant.
Return Saturday visit after the attempt to come on the last Sunday and find it closed. a la carte, sampler appetizer plate; lammkabobs, lammschnitzel, veg, over reis; veggie tahine, artischocke, pfeffer, bohnen, kicherbsen, etc., in tasteful sauce. very hot! thermal, not sharp! pita refilled several times without asking attentive service. room filled, not excessive noise, comfortable. suggestion for restaurant: why not serve the baklava and other Middle Eastern desserts as a choice with a la carte? only the choices there is rest and cheesecake. baklava sampler only with $45 pp tasting menu. but it is better. overall pleasant.
The food was good, but nothing really special. The prices are high for Media, and there are so many choices of great restaurants that I would think twice about going again. The lamb skewers were overcooked. The branzino was good, but for that price, it should have been the whole fish.
I found the dining room quite cold during my visit in early December, as there were only curtains to block the cold air from entering when new guests arrived. I had to wear my coat to stay warm, although many others seemed comfortable. My vegetarian cousin enjoyed her meal, but it wasn't anything extraordinary. When I was concerned that there was meat in my dish, the hostess kindly brought it back to the kitchen and reassured me that the pink item was actually cauliflower. My significant other's vegetarian tagine was surprisingly spicy, especially considering other reviews had described the food as bland. He shared some of his dish with my cousin and thankfully, there was plenty to go around. For some reason, we were not offered dessert, so we simply decided to settle the bill at that point.
