Contribuisci feedbackWARNING! If you enjoy nursing home cafeteria food masquerading as a steakhouse meal, then this is the place for you! The food was absolutely terrible. The $50 steak was only 1/4 inch thick, lacked seasoning, and was not cooked properly. The mashed potatoes tasted as if they were instantly prepared from a box, and the chicken was drier than I could have imagined. As for the risotto, it had a glue-like texture that made both my husband and our 9-year-old gag. Additionally, if you're gluten-sensitive or have Celiac Disease, be cautious. They claim some items are gluten-free, yet they prepare these dishes in the same fryer as everything else. It’s simply outrageous. This was the biggest waste of $150 we've ever spent at a restaurant, so I strongly recommend taking your hard-earned money elsewhere, to a place that values the quality and safety of their food over cutting corners for profit.
I'll start off by recognizing the friendly staff, they made the dinning experience great. Like the hotel, the restaurant is showing lots of wear and tear and in need of upgrading. As for the food, it was OK but not worthy of more than a 3 star review. I think the prices were out of line for what you get...I ordered the surf and turf as it said it came with prawns...I know the difference between prawns and shrimp...what was served were shrimp, not even jumbo shrimp that may have fooled most people. Not sure how this place is recognized as one of the top steakhouses in Medicine Hat, hate to see what the other places are like if they are compared to this place.
Booked this place for my wife’s birthday and informed them this at the time of booking. Wasn’t expecting the world but just a happy birthday from the server would have made all the difference.They brought our mains out before we had finished our appetizers making us feel rushed.Once our initial drinks were ordered and delivered, we were not offered another throughout the whole service.I thought this would be a special occasion as it’s supposed to be one of the top places to go, and with the prices I expected an experience to reflect this.Disappointed is an understatement.
Great restaurant! Amazing food and wonderful service! Drinks were beautiful and delicious. We got two complimentary chef dishes with our meal. Pork tamales and homemade vanilla ice cream. They were both amazing. Our meal was outstanding and everything came beautifully presented. We got the ceviche, lobster ravioli and Teriyaki steak bites. Everything was outstanding and will definitely be back when in Medicine Hat!!
This restaurant started out very promising. We were seated quickly and they did not refuse a patio seat request even though we did not reserve prior to when we arrived. Servers did their job well and we were met with many complimentary items while we waited. However, we ordered their Sunday special and were met with undercooked fingering potatoes, canned mushroom that were advertised as seared bc mushrooms, flavorless unidentifiable leaves for garnishes, sauce that tasted like it came from a package, and prime rib that was lukewarm and not properly cooked. The service staff was lovely, but they need some help in the kitchen. My advice is don't go if you're expecting more than canned items you could find at home and improperly cooked food. It wasn't all bad though, as their blood orange and vanilla martini was phenomenal.
