Unfortunately, the flat white was mostly froth, with the cup feeling almost empty. The sandwich was undercooked and lacked color, resembling more of a melted cheese mess on bread. It seemed like the oven was opened multiple times during the cooking process, resulting in the disappointing quality of the food. Ultimately, I ended up throwing both the coffee and food away. In short, despite being a new shop, the service was still poor. I will be sticking to the Costa in Hempstead Valley for better service in the future, as I cannot afford to waste money at the Gillingham branch again.
I'm not sure why there are negative reviews, but I wanted to show some support for this place. I visit here at least 4 or 5 times a week. The coffee is great and the staff, despite the difficult times, are always positive and happy.
I ordered a regular latte with full fat milk (blue) at this restaurant. Despite repeating my request for blue milk three times, the female server still poured green milk into the jug labeled blue and made my latte with it. I was confused as to why she didn't understand my preference for full fat milk over skinny milk. I hope they hire someone who can better understand the difference in milk types in the future.
Love the coffee but venue in need of a clean inside and out. The outside is always messy and the pavement is stained presumably with uncleared up spilt drinks. Distinct lack of interest attitude from the staff who are young and can't be bothered. A supervisor manager might help. I Always have to request a receipt for payment. The spacious upstairs seating is often closed so not available at certain times.
I’m always here getting my daily fix of caffeine, the coffee if very good and the staff are decent people.
