Balm La Pistache - Meggen

A remarkable dinner. The restaurant La Pistache had advertised Wild Week. We knew from acquaintances, La Pistache is known for wild and other specialty weeks. Our expectations were exceeded. Excellent food, excellent Host and courteous service staff.

The food at this restaurant is outstanding. The service is also outstanding. The staff are so attentive and friendly. They’re professional without being pretentious which I find very important. The food is gorgeous. The mango burrata salad in particular is to die for. You get a really generous amount of mango which is perfectly ripe, and the burrata complements it so well. The portion size for the Wiener schnitzel is very generous and it tastes delicious, especially with the side of potato salad. My only feedback is that I was surprised the menu is only available in German, considering how many non German-speaking tourists visit. We used an instant translator App on our phones, but some American tourists at the table behind us were really struggling. The staff were incredibly helpful and offered to translate everything, but once they leave the table it’s hard to remember what everything is. Other than that, superb and I highly recommend.

Great culinary art. The work here is done with a lot of love. Everything from the kitchen was very good and the service was very attentive.

Went to the La Pistache restaurant in Meggen for “Lobster and Shellfish Week” and were overjoyed: definitely try it out not just if you like lobster/seafood. Each course had its own unique touch and was presented extremely aesthetically the eye eats with it! Competent and courteous service who looked after us well throughout the evening.
