Jake's Crab Shack - Melbourne

The service was subpar, and the lobster was tough and lacking in flavor. Paying $45.00 for such an unsatisfactory meal was disappointing. 3/24/2016

We were fortunate to visit on Elvis night, and there was a table available for our group of seven. My first piece of advice is to call ahead to check if you need a reservation. The spicy snowy crab was excellent, and Mama really enjoyed the coconut shrimp with coconut sauce. The fish and chips were also good. We specifically came for the crab, and it didn't disappoint. The New England chowder was delightful—one of the better versions we've had, unlike some places that miss the mark. The restaurant was a bit under-staffed, but Melissa did a fantastic job taking care of us and managing the other tables. Overall, we're glad we decided to give it a try. If you’re going on a weekend, arrive early and make sure to call ahead.

I had a fantastic time at the party celebrating my mother's 90th birthday! The dancing and entertainment were lively and really fun. The buffet was amazing, especially the crispy garlic parmesan chicken wings and the traditional buffalo wings – they were the best I've ever had outside of Buffalo! The coleslaw was excellent, and the potato salad and mixed green salads were top-notch as well. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with delicious food and great karaoke. Thank you for an unforgettable evening!

The food was fantastic! We particularly enjoyed the crab nachos and the chicken parmesan, which was absolutely delicious. There was a girl group called Double Trouble performing that night, and my daughter sang along to her favorite songs with them. They sang from the heart, and it was such a touching moment. I wish I lived nearby because I would make this place my second home and enjoy the friendly atmosphere regularly. The staff was genuinely unique in their own ways, and I would definitely come back. Have eaten twice at jake since it is opened again. melissa is an excellent waitress! She made our orders right, brought beverage refills immediately, made sure that we were satisfied with our meals. big eat both paints: shrimp tacos with black bean rice the 1st time and crab dip afteros the 2nd time. friends had shrimp scampi, shrimp alfredo, Fish/Chips all 3 enjoyed their meal. we will often be back!
