Metro Diner - Melbourne

I ordered the pot roast for takeout and was pleased to receive three generous pieces of meat along with potatoes, gravy, and carrots. However, it was unfortunately way too salty! I understand that personal tastes vary, but I’ve dined out quite a bit, and this dish had an excessive amount of salt. It was difficult to enjoy the meal since there's no way to take the saltiness down, haha. That said, we always get good portions at this location, and I would still recommend it.

The most amazing chicken and waffles I have ever had in my life. Spectacular strawberry butter. And the maple syrup with Louisiana hot sauce was perfect match.

There’s soft background music playing and beautiful ambient lighting that creates a cozy vibe. I came here for breakfast, and it exceeded my expectations. Their menu features a wide range of options, from chicken and waffles to avocado toast. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast or something lighter, you'll find plenty to choose from. I've attached photos of their biscuits and gravy, cheese grits, scrambled eggs, and strawberry sweet tea. The service was exceptional, earning a solid five stars from the moment I walked in until I left. They even refilled my tea and provided a take-home cup after I had paid my bill. Plus, if you're in the military, you can enjoy a discount. Don't miss out on this gem!

It was our first time at the Diner Metro, I ordered meat loaf, potatoes and broccoli. My husband ordered fried chicken, fries and Coleslaw. I ate all my food, my husband is a critic, so he complained about how salty the chicken was and how the chicken frits were cooked too fast. I had no complaints until the next morning, I had symptoms of food poisoning and my husband had the same symptoms 2 days later. Overall experience was okay, but I won?t eat more here. I fell in love with Metro when I lived in Jacksonville. The Melbourne is just as excellent with much less waiting time to get through the door! Absolutely recommend Metro to everyone, it is awarded every time for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
