Yea is a grocery store and yes it is on the island, but the prices on food supplements are so much more than any of the surrounding markets it is almost insulting. The food in the restaurant is good, but not consistent with the service. The soups are always amazing.
I went in to check out the store and ended up ordering soup to go. The store has organic products some fresh items too. They have a really nice line of essential oils. Elaine was there running the store. The essential oils are her brand. She was very nice and knowledgeable. The restaurant is not 100% vegan but they did have some vegan options. I ordered their lentil soup to go. It was good.
I had the lentil soup very good), the eggplant sandwich with avocado good but a touch oily), garbanzo bean salad very good) and a piece of raw chocolate coconut cake very good). Service is great our waitress was vegan) and atmosphere is very laid back. Recommend giving it a try, glad we went.
Food is terrible, limited selection for veg/vegans, way over priced
The only thing this place needs is its own chunk of real estate, I would be willing to bet many people have driven by this place without seeing the sign let alone what lies behind it's drab facade. They did a marvelous job decorating the inside. After entering, the name Jungle begins to make sense, not overbearing though. No loud animal noises either, only the sounds of the waterfall and the playing of nice music. The Staff was great, our server was great, and the place has a small grocery store adjacent to it where they sell micro beer and quite a selection of wine. This place had a lot of time and effort put into it and I wish them the best.
