My favorite restaurant in sri lanka m! after more than 8 months because of the border closures I finally had my repair and I swear that eating is more divine than ever. big worth at $20 for everyone they can eat!
I met a friend here for lunch and paid $20 for the All-you-can-eat option. eating was good, but nothing particularly great, quite typical quality for a lunch buffet. pappadams were not crisp, and the herbal curry was thin and inexorable. In addition, this curry shared a twin-bean marie with the fish-curry, with servier pans sitting on the same plate. no good look and ripe for cross-contamination. the only plate for about $17 dollar is possibly a good value in terms of volume when they load it, but think more cafeteria than cafeteria.
The buffet on Sunday evening was 90% vegan and incredible. have ordered a side of cord funnels and was in the sky.
I can’t go past a buffet and I trust @yoeyvegan’s reviews of Sri Lankan food! Citrus did not disappoint, in fact it exceeded my expectations. More than half of the buffet was vegan and clearly marked. It’s $17 all-you-can-eat, discounted to $15 if you pay cash. Choose biryani or yellow rice, or try both like I did. I sampled all of the vegan curries today which included dahl, cashew, sweet potato, beetroot, green beans. I added most of the available condiments too, of which their were at least half a dozen. I laughed when the staff piled my plate high then said I could come back for more...but it was so delicious I did go back for another scoop of my favourites. Would go back and enjoy a meal with omni fam.
