Be warned that the food is traditional so the sambal dish is very hot but tasty. The rendang curry was delicious. You are required to order & pay at the counter first & it is cash only, which is the only negative point here. Would love to return & try some of the other dishes.
We ordered sapi penyek it came with beef, rice, salad. i thought penyek dishes will have the street's staple - tempe and tahu. but this one does not. the sambal is weak though. need to improve.tasty food but wish that food came piping hot rather than slightly warm. overall it's quite decent
Only been here once while on holiday. Pleasant experience with reasonably priced food. Service is okay. Prices are good. Presentation nice. Ordered rendang. Meal was delicious :)
'Bagus' is Inddoensian for 'good'.. and our experience here was actually very good... Bagus Sekali!!A good range of snacks, satay, soups and penyet (marinated & flattened) dishes, as well as veg options.Great for a quick meal, and open from late morning to mid evening. Authentic taste and spices, cooked and served well.I've eaten here a few times, this visit I was encouraged to have the 'Sop Iga" Beef Spare Rib Soup. I was cautious, expecting nothing more than a few bones in broth. What I got was a hearty soup with plenty of meat (and yes, the bones for flavour). Delicious!Prices are very reasonable and a fave amongst local Indonesian students.I've found most Indonesian food in Melbourne 'hit and miss' .. this visit was a 'hit'
Thought we'd give this ago as most reviews were ok. We had been to Shalom near flagstaff, and thought this would maybe be nicer. Perhaps slightly nicer atmosphere but food was disappointing. Satay chicken was ok but other dishes chewy and cold. It's not expensive at all but you get better food elsewhere. Staff friendly though.
