Blue Room - Melbourne

The Blue Room in South Melbourne is a charming, well-maintained restaurant that has a loyal local following. Their pizzas are fantastic, their takeout menu is impressive, and their prices are reasonable. The pork and veal meatballs and Tuscan risotto are particularly delicious. The pork belly dish is also highly recommended for those who like something quick and spicy. The restaurant offers a good selection of red and white wines, as well as Australian beers and soft drinks. Locals speak highly of this place, so be sure to give it a try.

I visited this restaurant today with a group of friends, we had made a reservation in advance so they could be prepared. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting an hour and a half for a mediocre chicken Parmesan with a simple salad of lettuce and dressing. The blue grenadier was essentially a fish finger served with the same salad, and the chips consisted of only four thinly sliced pieces of potato. Additionally, the restaurant did not have any draft beer available as the tap was broken, so we had to settle for bottled beer instead.

I had a business lunch here in the middle of the week. The food was fantastic, but it took a while to be served. It's fine if you're having a leisurely lunch, but the service needed to be quicker for a business setting.

Had one of their breakfast specials, salmon with eggs. The presentation was beautiful and it was a generous portion for a very reasonable price. The stuff was very friendly and accommodating. Their home made deserts looked great, will have to try next time.

Had a quick breakfast before an appointment. Service was friendly and food came out fast. Poached eggs a little underdone but still delicious. Really nice spacious place. Would go back for sure.
