Cultured Salad - Melbourne

Located within the Walk arcade, there is ample competition around the area. But cultured salad offers comfortable seating within a building so that means you are not seated in the cold. The usual selection of sandwiches, pasties, wraps and hot food with rice.

Salade de fruits, pain jambon fromage et tomates toastes et 2 espresso. Le service est rapide et le rapport qualité prix satisfaisant. Quelques travaux de rénovation seraient nécessaires pour redonner une seconde jeunesse à ce lieu.

Great value big brekky ($15) at this place, good crisp toast and bacon and eggs soft poached as requested. Real spinach cooked rather than raw baby spinach leaves. nice mushies and grilled tomato and a big sausage and hash brown. Enjoyed the coffee as well and nice service from the staff.

My meal of vegetable fritata and chips (picture below) cost $13. I could not eat the fritata, it was horrible, dry, tasteless. The chips were good. My friend had mushroom pastry wrap thing (sorry I forget what they called it) and it was delicious (she shared it with me, when I couldn't eat mine) Cafe staff were friendly and efficient, served us quickly. I would try them again, but I would not order the vegetable fritata again.

Pleasant staff. Quick service. Coffee nice. However, the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon was not pleasant. There are much better cafes nearby. Though I am sure that on a different day it would be fine.
