Da Bruno Ristorante Pizza - Melbourne

Da Bruno's was only a few doors down from our hotel and close to beautiful Fitzroy Gardens where we'd been walking; so it was a natural choice for a simple dinner. I had a good pizza and my friend had lasagne, which she enjoyed. The staff are Italian and the menu is varied. We had a window table so we could look out and enjoy the views of downtown Melbourne and passersby.

Walked in for a pre footy meal to this "Italian" named restaurant to find Asian waitress and Indian ( full turban ) cook. Ok with that, but wife's lasagna was stone cold. Waitress took it back and told us that they would make a fresh meal for her and it will not take long as they would prioritise for her. After 5 minutes the waitress came over and told us that its on its way and will be out in 1 minute. Waited 10 minutes and still no meal so we got up to cancel her meal and the owner/manager insisted that the meal is ready only to see the cook bang his hand to his forehead to signify that he forgot all about it when they went into the kitchen. Needless to say we left without my wife having a meal. Thankfully for her actually as my risotto was horrible anyway.

We went here for dinner prior to going to the footy. The waitress was rude, couldn't just take our whole order at the one time. She kept coming back and then going and coming back, we felt as though we were annoying her for some unknown reason. Menu was very limited, and didn't look too Italian to me.

This is a casual restaurant with pleasant food but not exciting or particularly memorable food. I wouldn't go out of my way to go again but its fine if you are in the area and want a quick bite

Walking home from a full day in the city, friends fit bit read 24km so was in the mood for takeaway back at the apartment. Been walking past Da Bruno since thursday when we arrived in Melbourne :).They're an Italian Ristorante, now delivering to your door step as the takeaway menu says but its a 2 min walk so i opted the walk to the shop, to order
