It was unexpectedly delicious. The price was reasonable for the quality of the food. The only thing missing was some background music. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, perfect for a solo diner like me.
This restaurant is a great spot for breakfast. The coffee is good and the pies and muffins are excellent. The ambience is also very pleasant, as it is situated in Gordon Place.
We had a wonderful breakfast at Deli 1884 located at the historic Gordon Place Hotel (now Quest) on Little Bourke Street. In addition to the traditional bacon and eggs, they offer delicious alternatives like strawberry Brioche served with Maple syrup (Check out the photo). The service was welcoming and friendly. The open seating area showcases the history of the hotel with its original architecture, and the walls are adorned with beautiful artwork by Debra and Marco Luccio.
Hidden gem in perfect location. Wandered into Deli 1884 and it opens up into a light filled, amazing old building! Avocado smash was delicious. Fresh, tasty, just yum! And yep, great coffee! Delivered exactly as ordered. Service just lovely. Really personal and caring, but professional. As I paid I saw lots of very tempting treats and lunches in their display window which I'll be back to try!
Awesome breakfast menu, we are here by chance as looking for a place serving breakfast after midday. The service was great (blonde British lady well done) and the food was very tasty, fresh and generous portions
