The large portion size ($40) was enough to feed four people. The pork hock paired well with soju, cutting through the richness of the meat. The spicy buckwheat noodles were a flavorful and refreshing accompaniment to the pork hock. Unfortunately, the oyster pancake was not as impressive, falling short of expectations. I look forward to trying their soy pork belly on my next visit. In conclusion, Dosirock is a great spot for Korean cuisine in Melbourne, with the Korean pork hock being a standout dish worth trying.
I ordered takeout from this restaurant and found them to be quite efficient. The food was delicious, particularly the spicy pork hock and bossam. The flavors were very authentic! I'm giving it 4 stars because they forgot to include the lettuce that was needed for these dishes. I also felt that they could have provided more ssam ingredients given the large amount of food I ordered.
I normally don't care for pork hock, but this place really knows how to do it justice. The noodles that accompany it are also incredibly tasty.
The soft tofu soup is a must-have dish, but that depends on the chef....., it is great overall speaking, authentic Korean street food
Dosirock is known for their long hours into the early morning, but also for their jokbal. It is pork trotters, but it's completely de-boned and has a good balance of meat, tendon, collagen and skin. It's braised in a soy stock and slicked thick so you get a good bite when you wrap it up in the perilla leaves or lettuce.<br/ <br/ Similarly the pork belly is braised in the same stock and sliced thinly. You can get a platter of half half, which is perfect. Amazing flavours going on there. <br/ <br/ Paired with beer and soju, it's a classic Korean fare in an authentic environment.<br/ <br/ Also had the tuna rice, which comes with seaweed, mayo and a whole bunch of other ingredients. Gloves are provided so you can mix it all up and roll them into balls.<br/ <br/ Amazing food, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here!
