Friends of Mine - Melbourne

Needed a takeaway coffee while in Richmond recently so I stopped here. They use St. Ali beans, which are some of my favourite. Coffee was prepared nicely and the staff were incredible friendly and accommodating. Will be my new spot when in the area.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Decided to sit indoors, but changed our minds as it ended up being a lovely sunny day. The staff were so nice and accommodating during our time there. We ordered juice and folded eggs, and far too many coffees! All of it was amazing. I’d definitely recommend!

Everything is fantastic about this cafe it’s in a great location, it’s spacious and has a great vibe. Coffee is delicious and staff are lovely. It’s one of those cafes that you must visit in Melbourne. I grabbed a coffee and treat (butterbing) from here.

 <br/ Taste The eggs ben which comes with champagne poached Apple, maple bacon crumbs and Apple cider hollandaise is quite a winner. Their rendition of eggs ben is a bit sweeter thanks to the Apple sauce, and the pulled pork was tender and delicious. It’s also not sickeningly rich, which helps me finish the dish! <br/ <br/ The hangover is also equally yummy. the cheesy herb toast topped with avocado, egg and bacon is a classic you could whip up in the kitchen, but FoM’s version is well executed and a joy to finish. <br/ <br/ While they use St Ali beans, I found my skinny flat white more milky and on the weaker end of the coffees I’ve had in Melbourne.<br/ <br/ Ambience The cafe occupies a former workshop. There are signs of its former life all around the cafe, which I find very nostalgic. The table cloths gives this cafe a classier feel, something other brunch places usually don’t attempt to create!
 <br/ Price Pricing was standard you are looking to pay for $25 including coffee. Portions are large enough to keep you full till late in the evening! 
 <br/ Presentation Food presentation met expectations. Our brunch dishes looked appetising!<br/ <br/ Service we got a seat almost immediately despite the usual weekend crowd. Our coffees took a while to arrive, but food came pretty quickly.

Can never go wrong with this place, great staff and good quality food- very reliable!!!
