Gemma Simply Italian - Melbourne

This restaurant is very charming and not too busy. You can have a nice conversation without having to shout. The food is delicious, especially the Queen Margherita pizza which I really enjoyed. I left feeling satisfied but not overly full. Overall, it's a lovely place and I highly recommend it!

I overheard an Italian man talking about a truly authentic pizza spot in Carlton. My wife and I had been struggling to find a restaurant that captured the essence of our trips to Italy, so we decided to give it a try. We've been there about 4-5 times now, and each bite takes us back to Italy. The staff is friendly and has charming Italian accents. It's a must-try if you want a taste of Italy. I made sure to thank the Italian man for the recommendation.

The most liveable city in the world shuts down at 9 pm on Sunday night, but the staff at Gemma waited for us to arrive at 9.15 pm for dinner. Eight of us, kitchen stayed on and made feel so welcomed. Started with the most amazing pizza. Every main dish was absolutely fantastic. Then the Tiramisu was amazing. Brilliant will come again again. Try the Marinara Carbonara.

Stumbled upon this restaurant away from the crowded Lygon street at Carlton and boy we were lucky we took that turn.. pizza was the best I have ever had.. there is a magic in authentic Italian and this place just does justice to Italian cuisine especially pizza they serve..

My favourite Italian restaurant in Melbourne! We travel to Gemma's all the way from Berwick once a month because the food is superb! My favourite is the San Danielle pizza and the gnocchi bolognese
