Fantastic food in a bright upbeat restaurant . Friendly and efficient staff. Extensive drinks menu. The food though is the highlight. Highly recommend.
Visiting the area we randomly selected Horn Please for dinner and were so pleased we did. Everything was spot on, from the friendly and quick service, the decor and atmosphere to the delicious meal. We had the the Chefs Selection Banquet and were delighted with every meal delivered to us. The entree’s were beautifully presented and a taste treat. The main meal selection gave us a great variety of deliciousness and there was plenty of food they happily offered more we had extra Butter Chicken as it was melt in mouth), the finishing ice cream was the creamiest tastiest ice cream I’ve ever had. Best meal and dining experience we’ve had in a long time.
To be completely honest the whole experience was peppered with issues, greeting and seating was very good, however things went downhill from there. In the interest of keeping the constructive feedback clear and concise I will use bullet points: • We were told due to our party size (6 people) we could only go for the tasting menu – This was not indicated at the time of booking. In fact we chose Horn Please because of this reason • When the waitress described the dishes that would be included in the tasting menu, I requested one of the main dishes to be made extra spicy. The waitress said this was not possible as the restaurant policy was not to make dishes spicy. The waitress did offer to supplement the dishes with chilli sauce and as much fresh chilli as we needed • We were constantly waiting for drinks to be refreshed. • After a few rounds, we were told our chosen drink “Kingfisher” had run out and could we choose a different drink • When the waitress asked how the meal was going, I gave the following feedback: o The chilli sauce and chilli’s were never brough to the table – The reply of “You should have reminded me” was disappointing at the least o All my party complained that 2 of the dishes were salty (Lamb dish and Channa Masala) – In fact the Channa dish was so salty it was inedible. o Asked the waitress to send the chef to our table if he wanted to discuss further – He never came • Overall not a great evening for our VIC team get together, we all left rather deflated and disappointed with the evening.
I’m a Sydney sider, we had a great meal here. We did the feed me option. Great food options. Not spicy, which was great for the western palette.
