Il Portobello - Melbourne

We had a meal here at this local last week,overall a pleasant experience,good service,food and ambience.We shared the arancini balls to start and my wife had the seafood linguini and I had a pizza.Both good,would have been better if the food was served on warm plates.Would be happy to return.

The food was authentic, gorgeous Italian. The service was very welcoming and warm. My father, who turned 94! Was treated so well. Thank you so much for the little extras you also provided! Fabulous!

Our family of several generations dined at Rubicon last night for a special birthday (my father's 94th birthday).Food was great and fresh, catering well for some of us who are vegetarian as well as the fish and meat lovers.The staff were exemplary, were happy to serve the birthday cake which we had brought and on their own initiative adorned the slices with cream and flowers. They also offered complimentary glasses of port to celebrate the occasion. Thank you to the chefs and waiting staff, you were terrific. We will be back!

Great restaurant in downtown Essendon. Food and service was exceptional. Price is just slightly north of what I would expect for the area but I wasn't disappointed. I had the pork ribs and I would rate them amongst the best I've had....and I've had a few!Highly recommend.

Shout out loud. It's the only way you'll be heard by the person sitting opposite. I have never been to a noisier restaurant. Food was fair but overpriced. Drink prices are also over the top. Have been here before when known as Portobello and then again when it was Sappore d'Abruzzo. It will take more than a name change to get me back again!!! Get better atmosphere at local McDonalds
