We ended up ordering too much food, but it was worth it. The naan bread was delicious and my favorite was the Marsala Chicken with saffron rice and Indian pickles. It is a genuine and unpretentious place that you will thoroughly enjoy if you love Indian cuisine.
For our meal, we ordered an Aaloo Paratha and a full Tandoori Chicken. The Aaloo Paratha was soft, fluffy, and perfectly stuffed. It was delicious and we would rate it 4.5/5. However, the Tandoori Chicken was the highlight of our meal. It was the best tandoori dish we have had in Melbourne, according to our tastes. The chicken was tender, flavorful, and generously coated with masala. It was a generous portion that easily fed two hungry adults for dinner. The service at Le Taj was friendly and welcoming when we picked up our order. The prices were reasonable, with the Aaloo Paratha costing $3.50 and the Tandoori Chicken priced at $19 for the whole bird. Overall, we are always on the lookout for high-quality Indian restaurants that remind us of traditional dishes from India, and Le Taj definitely fit the bill. We look forward to returning and trying more dishes from their menu in the future.
We often order takeout from this restaurant and it is always delicious. We especially enjoy the mushroom masala and almost all the other curries too! The ghost chilli curry on the menu looks intriguing!
Got delivery from Le Taj and it’s not bad. The Tindaloo is soooo yummy but quite chilli so I am scared to even think what Ghost curry would taste like!!! We ordered butter chicken but nothing really to write home about. The potato curry is quite nice.<br/ <br/ The portions sizes are generous but it is quite exxy for Indian food
I have been twice to Le Taj and both times I've had a great experience. They have plenty vegetarian options but I specially recommend the saag panner. Some of the drinks ex. Mango Lassi) are way too sweet but overall the food is delicious. Great service and good place to enjoy a romantic date or hang out with friends.
