Beautiful staff, sunny terrace, beautiful happy hour. all the elements to have a great time in woods cafe, the wood setting is a plus
We visited the other day for lunch. I got the crooked pork. it was delicious! I also love her chai latte!
The breakfast buffet was great. in the night the fish chips were ok the fried cheesecake for dessert was good worth it.
Met my Mum Dad here for a midweek dinner, they were staying in Melbourne from the country. Ambience and service were fine, menu selection also fine (mostly spicey dishes and a standard kids menu)... however... Given the average $40 plate for mains and $30-35...for small dishes entrees we expected a lot more and much higher quality. We all left hungry, a little confused and will not go back. The portions of prawns, meat or main ingredient in each dish was tiny, not to mention three prawn heads added to the prawn dish??? Deliberate or careless we are not sure. My Korean BBQ skewers were more black than meat, so the 100g served turned into a 50g feed, with a side of tasty but small chilli coleslaw. At $40 plate this is not acceptable. The cheapest wine was $48 bottle. So for the four of us it cost $250 just for mains and wine. Go somewhere else...
