Once again, we brought our team member to dine here with us as a thank you gesture, and we were honestly proud of our choice. The food is undeniably good and their...service is top notch! The friendly staff have impressive skills with carrying the dishes. We ordered quite a lot of food and they did not disappoint! Marion is a great little bar to visit during the day that you can nibble through as you enjoy your wine sipping session. Their wine collection is absolutely CRAZY come visit and find out yourself!
I’d eaten at Marion before and enjoyed a great meal. This visit was with friends and it didn’t disappoint. We shared the rump cap, asparagus, mussels, burrata and chicken wings, all delicious and beautifully cooked and presented. Local Pinot noir from Geelong. An excellent meal....The service is excellent, we had booked an outside table however it was a chilly summers night in Melbourne. They did have outdoor heaters. We did ask if we could move inside however all tables were booked. Staff didn’t forget us though and when a space at the bar became available they moved us and carried all our drinks and food inside. Now that is service
Nice venue, busy vibe. Enormous selection of wines knowledgeable staff on the subject. Simple delicious menu showcasing seasonal produce and a few signature dishes. Little disappointed in our pork which was quite tough. Wish we’d ordered the roast chicken which looked superb at...next table). Otherwise very good.
Dropped in to Marion late one Sunday arvo for a glass of vino. Was really impressed with the wine by the glass selection and both our choices were excellent. Will be back for vino and eats sometime very soon.
A great venue for a glass of wine or a more substantial meal. Good food menu and exceptional wine list...definitely something for everyone. I dined with a group and we had the chefs menu. Everything was tasty, the beans, the fish, mussels and the roast...chicken was possibly the best, most succulent I and others had had! The only criticism, and it is only minor, is that we felt the starters, as tasty as they were, were a little carb heavy and too filling. Dessert was a mouthful of deliciousness! We drank international wines, French, Aregentian and Italian...all were excellent with the Malbec the stand out. The service was generally very good. Our waitress was excellent. Quick with drinks orders and wine refills. Explained the dishes she bought to the table, although some of the other staff didn’t do this and were a little slap dash with their service. Overall, a great night, and would love to revisit.
