Mr Ramen San - Melbourne

We highly recommend Mr. Ramen San if all you crave is a bowl of authentic Japanese ramen. We stumbled upon this restaurant and saw a long queue, we knew instantly this would be a great option for dinner. Super delicious ramen and we got the best value for money. Our family is a big fan of Japanese dishes. Canberra has some nice choices but when it comes to ramen, we have to say nothing compares to Mr. Ramen San's offering.

Visited here with my husband and 3 year old son. A little difficult to find but that's what makes it a hidden gem. The soup was so tasty and delicious and the staff were fantastic and really accommodating to our requests for our some what fussy eater toddler. We all enjoyed it and will be returning here again.

But unfortunately, it was not available. Perhaps they should specify this at the outset, when they hand over the menu. As this was the reason for my visit, having seen it on the menu outside, I was disappointed, so I just reverted to a basic tonkotsu. The broth had decent depth and flavour but the noodles were a little overcooked. Char su - two pieces. Seating is either at tables or a counter which looks out into the shopping arcade.

This place is all about what is in the bowl - the Ramen is amazing in this little hole in Mall restaurant.
