Contribuisci feedbackI recently dined at the wonderful emporium and enjoyed yet another delicious meal. While it may not be the best Japanese food I've ever had, it is definitely worth a visit.
This small café has comfortable chairs and provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the Emporium Shopping Complex. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. I highly recommend trying the Pork Gyoza, Prawn Vegetable Tempura, and Teriyaki Beef Don. Next time we're in Melbourne, we'll definitely be trying more items from their menu. Enjoy!
I'm very unhappy with the girl who served me today. She was rude and abrupt. I wanted to confirm the ingredients in my meal because I suspected it wasn't my order, and I didn't want to take someone else. Your answer was very... aggressive and I felt attacked. When I finally got the right meal, she beat the food on the table and I can see it at the corner of my eye only staring (more like dazzling) on me. That made me really uncomfortable and I couldn't even make myself dinner. Don't waste your time or money here. This type of treatment is not worth it. I work in hospitality and I know for a fact that you treat customers with courtesy and respect.
Came here for chicken catsu rays and Oyakodon. Both average tasting and decent served portions. Price is good for what you get. Waitresses were great and free water on arrival.
I decided to dine at this restaurant because I preferred that it was a standalone restaurant rather than part of a food court. However, I soon discovered that it was not managed by Japanese but by Chinese staff, at least in the front of house. The service was lackluster and the staff seemed indifferent, not particularly friendly. The variety of food offered was decent. My Katsu Don dish tasted and looked authentic enough, but the portion size was small for me so I also ordered the Tempura Don. Unfortunately, the tempura dish was a letdown. The rice and tempura should have been served separately as the steam from the rice made the tempura soft. The dish also lacked moisture, making it very dry. Miso soup was not included and had to be ordered separately. Overall, the service was not very pleasant and I don't feel inclined to return as there are many other dining options in the area.
