The food is traditional Chinese Cantonese style and the portions are generous for the price. I have been a patron for over 20 years and while the flavors have changed slightly, they are still excellent. I highly recommend trying the Combination Fried Noodles for a delicious surf and turf dish with crispy egg noodles in a tasty sauce. The BBQ Bao is also a standout dish that is hard to beat.
Whenever we are in the city, we always opt for takeout from this restaurant. We absolutely adore their Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice, as it is incredibly flavorful and comes in a generous portion for the price. I highly recommend trying their homemade baos as well. My personal favorite is the Salted Egg Lava Bao, but the BBQ Pork Bun is also delicious. The service is quite efficient as well.
We didn't eat at the restaurant, but we decided to try their char siew bao to take away. We paid $12 for 6 frozen ones to eat later. We heated them up this morning for 15 minutes and were pleasantly surprised by how tasty they were. I will definitely be going back to try more of their bao next time.
The porridge is the bomb! Reminds me of home, not too watery nor starchy. Ingredients are generous and price is reasonable too. Not much to fault except hoping they have another branch closer to where I live.
A long time establishment for quick tasty and cheap Chinese food, most notably the steamed paos. Ignore the shoddy entrance and interior deco, it’s been around for so many decades simply because it’s that good!
