Obviously you do get what you pay for, however the service we experienced was very below average. The girl who served us didn't smile once, spoke rudely, and threw our plates onto the table. The entire place seemed very unclean, and some things were wrapped in aluminium foil, which I found quite strange. As for the food itself, it was okay, (again, you get what you pay for), but there definitely far superior places to eat in the nearby area. One thing I did like was that they serve free meals to those who cannot afford it between 3 and 4.
Well Peeps,Went to Melbourne for 4 days business. Spent an absolute fortune in Pubs and Restaurants on food and then would you believe, I found this little joint. The annoying part was the fact it was right next door to the motel I was staying. The place isn't 3 or 4 star when it comes to the layout but it was packed with punters and now I know why.The food was sensational for what you got, fresh as and if you thought you were still hungry, you simply took your tray back to the counter and they would fill it up again. And for $6.50 for all you can eat, show me a cheaper joint in the middle of the city. The one dish you have to try is the chilli cucumbers ( well I thought they were cucumbers), Don't care, they were **** delicious and packed a bite. You don't get them on your tray, they are in little bowls just around the corner of the front counter, you just take one, they don't mind.On the roti bread, Man, what a taste sensation. I ate the whole thing. My only regret is I wish I found it sooner, I would have eaten there every night and I'm meat lover.Check it out.Made Wijaya
Good meal deal at OM and I had lunch there one afternoon with $6.5 all you can eat lentils and curry and rice.
Om is a favourite and I return there often. Basic veg/vegan food, as much as you can eat if you order a thali, and at amazingly low cost. Don't expect anything fancy - it is basic, and the food to is basic but good. If you are vegan ask for vegan naan when you oder your thali.
Great Value. Cool little place. Authentic Food. You will leave with a full tummy and a full heart. There are queues at lunchtime. Enjoy!
