Rubira's Port Melbourne

We've eaten a few times in rubiras, and we're always coming because we love good seafood. our waitress rachael has served us several times and every time is better. she encouraged us to order a series of orders to share and we did. seafood were fresh and well cooked. rubiras is now on our preferred list of restaurants. great eating, wonderful staff and a warm friendly environment. Thank you.

Rubiras looked at the week, it was very busy. the seafoods are excellent our group had, oysters, barramundi spring rolls, moreton bay bugs, chili garnelen, calamari and desert. if there was a small light, it was probably the calamari that seemed more of the size of the popcorn so that probably would not order the next time. the deserts were a massive hit and the staff efficiently on each level without being in their face. many seafood restaurants like to send the dishes with rice or other fillers, not rubiras they get exactly what they have ordered. I'm looking forward to going back.

The seafood are not good or fresh, the service was grumpy and the price not much the size or the value of the food. felt dangerous to eat the seafood, absolutely terrible.

Zomato rating from to this art deco port melbourne pub was known as southern cross hotel and after that time it was swallows hotel. their specificity is seafood and they do it well. we decided to visit rubira as we really enjoyed our previous culinary adventure there. after being said, a Friday dinner might not be an ideal choice, as the place was absolutely packed, including a function on the upper floor. Of course it was very loud! Apart from this aspekt were eating and the service fabulous.

We have had an awesome experience every time. Fantastic fish and seafood, varying seasonal menu with a large specials board as well. Great service staff who is happy to make recommendations and suggestions and will check with the chef for special requests. Kids friendly with suitable items on the menu for the little ones, but in the evening it’s mostly adults here. Love this place and will come back again.
