After waiting nearly an hour, we were finally told that we could only choose 2 entrees from the Indian menu or 4 from the Italian menu, even though our voucher was for 4 people. We opted for the Italian menu and ordered wedges, Caesar salad, garlic bread, and nachos. The only decent dish was the garlic bread; the Caesar salad resembled something from a grocery store with processed ham instead of bacon and iceberg lettuce. The nachos consisted of stale corn chips with a minimal amount of jarred salsa and melted cheese. For our mains, we ordered chicken masala and lamb saag. The lamb saag was passable, but the meat was overcooked. The chicken masala was dark in color and contained bone, cartilage, and gristle. When we brought this to the attention of our waiter, he kindly offered to replace it, but we declined as we were uncomfortable with the quality of the food. The replacement dish was bland and lacked any flavor. The service was friendly, but the restaurant should focus on just one cuisine and prepare dishes fresh. Additionally, the meals took an incredibly long time to arrive, with some customers still waiting when we left several hours later.
We recently dined at NADALON FUSION, a restaurant that offers a mix of Chinese, Greek, and other cuisines. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We ordered schnitzels from the Greek menu and found them to be pre-packaged and heart-shaped, likely from a supermarket deli. The salad we ordered was dry, lacking any dressing. The staff seemed confused and overwhelmed by the many different options on the menu, leading to a frustrating experience. We suggest that the restaurant focus on one cuisine to improve the quality of the dishes and service. Overall, our visit was not enjoyable.
Four of us used a Groupon voucher on Saturday night. We had originally tried to book in June, but were informed that the offer was ending sooner than expected. We had to book for Saturday night instead, which ultimately worked out fine. The food was mediocre. We each tried different starters and found that the chicken and fish were passable, but the samosa was very dry and the pastry was not great. The mains were also average; I ordered the cottage cheese curry and found it lacking in flavor. Unfortunately, my friend discovered a live beetle in her rice, which was not handled seriously by the wait staff. We had to ask for the plate to be taken away along with all of the rice, not just the beetle. The server mentioned that the chef had thrown out the entire batch of rice, apologizing on his behalf. Despite the friendly staff, the average food and the unpleasant beetle incident make it unlikely that we will return to this restaurant.
My girlfriend originally brought a Groupon to go to Samrat for dinner and we were unsure what to expect. Our expectations were exceeded by the incredible food! The food would have to be some of the best Indian I have eaten. The owner was extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to accommodate our needs. I would recommend Samrat not only for the Groupon but as a regular Indian restaurant to visit.
Worst dining experience, we had a Groupon when we sat down we were told that it would be a set menu. So waited almost an hour before asking what was happening with the food. We then got told we could order 2 entrees from the Indian menu or four from the Italian menu even though we had a voucher for four. We picked the Italian and ordered wedges, ceasar salad, garlic bread and nachos. The only decent item was the garlic bread, cesear salad looked like something from Woolies with processed ham instead of bacon
