I don't often eat Indian cuisine, so it was a bit challenging for me to review this restaurant as I don't have much to compare it to. For starters, we had the veg Manchurian and coconut prawns. The prawns were coated in a soft batter, not crispy like in some other Asian cuisines. The veg Manchurian was quite spicy, which might be too much for some people. For the main course, we ordered the goat curry and prawn jalfrezi along with cucumber salad, lachha paratha, cheese, and garlic naan. The goat had large bone pieces and not much meat. The lachha paratha was not flaky, but the cheese and garlic naan were delicious. For dessert, we tried the gulaab jamun with ice cream, which I probably wouldn't order again. Overall, many of the dishes were new to us, so it was a unique experience. It's worth mentioning that there were Indian customers dining at the restaurant, which could indicate that the food served here is authentic and good.
Summary: Average food value for the experience with money cost escape in oil soaked main course only sauce sawne bland
I ate here about 7 years ago or maybe more, but I went back and it looked like a herd would have been through the carpet, the interiors were dirty, and the light was too strong inside. the food was good, and the service was not bad, although eating was a little long to get out. I think it only needs a re-decor in the inner and a cleaning between customer meal times. also new carpet.
Very good restaurant if you like rubbish curry. It was up there with one of the biggest disappointments of my life. The popadoms were a disgrace as was the service. About as polite as Victoria Beckham. We’d have been better off buying an uncle bens...sauce from the supermarket and mixing it with mud. The chicken tikka was the best thing about the whole experience but they should have microwaved it for a bit longer. The naan bread was a highlight of the meal. It was so oily, Donald trump started to dig for it. If you need the toilet while there, please make sure you take a map and your passport and be careful you don’t step on a mouse trap. I’m Not one to write reviews but this place was horrendous. If it was on X Factor it would be a No from me.
