I stumbled across this underrated gem when I woke up one Sunday afternoon and wanted bacon and eggs. The front of the shop is inconspicuous compared to some of the Cafe's and restaurants in Camberwell, but the interior is absolutely beautiful. The polished timber floors and rich colours are a fantastic mood setter and make having a coffee here wonderful. When I first entered I was greeted by the owners warmly and told them what I wanted and they started making it right away for a very good price. Don't let the simple appearance fool you, they've put a lot of work into this place, there is WiFi and Rewardle, which means less loyalty card carrying. They also have online ordering. The food I got was sensational and the presentation on it was great and has only suprised me with everything else I order, when I ordered a sausage one day and got garnish with it. I didn't get a milkshake on my first visit, I only started recently and I'm upset with myself that I've eaten here and not had a milkshake sooner. I feel sadness for those who walk past everyday and don't even know how good the milkshakes are. I also love how they're open everyday. Great for a hangover cure.
The cafe is small inside, but we were able to find a seat in the corner with some bench seats available. I ordered a soy flat white and nachos, while my partner had the cheeseburger toastie and a snickers smoothie. Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu. My coffee was good and a decent size, and the snickers smoothie was very enjoyable. However, I found the nachos to be quite basic – just corn chips with avocado, tomato sauce, a small amount of vegan cheese, and pieces of corn. I added sour cream, but I probably wouldn't do that again next time. It was decent but not outstanding. My partner liked the cheeseburger toastie. Overall, it's an option worth considering if you're in the area.
The restaurant offers a vegan menu with a variety of delicious options. The staff is friendly and the food is tasty. There is a great selection of dishes available for dining inside or outside. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area.
I discovered this fantastic cafe today. The coffee, food, and staff were all excellent. It's now my new favorite spot in the neighborhood.
I love that there is so much to choose from but what we had was a bit bland. I ordered the avocado toastie with the lot and my partner had the mushroom meatball toastie. Both were good but not very flavorful. My iced soy latte was also pretty bland. Still , not a bad option if you are in Camberwell. The açaí bowls looked tempting.
