We arrived a bit early and were seated at a table with missing teacups and saucers (not sure if it was intentional?). The bottomless mimosas were served in a carafe, which was constantly replenished. It would have been helpful if the carafe had a pouring lip, as it was difficult to pour without spilling. Despite initially seeming like a small amount of food for three people over two hours, it turned out to be filling. There was a slightly damaged floorboard on the third floor that should have been repaired before service. We didn't find the tuna sandwiches appealing, but overall, the food was delicious. Our server was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the meal.
Visited with long time friends for brunch extremely overpriced and certainly bad value for money. the breakfast was served on very cold dishes with cold speck and eggs. too poor. such a shame because he is distinguished.
The location of the restaurant was stunning, and the staff were friendly, although not very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was average, and the toilets were in a creepy condition.
We had lunch in caffe and I was very surprised to the high trips of the entire menu and wine list. for example is a bowl with chips $11. my friend ordered the fish chips at $27 and the portion was quite large. one of the two pieces of fish on her plate was undercooked/raw and could not be eaten. the bottle of wine we had was almost 3 times the price they would pay at dan murphy. I understand they have to pay more in a restaurant, but 300% is not up. we let us feel underwhelmed and wish we had gone to lunch somewhere....Next time we will.
Overall our daughter's wedding there was extremely well managed. We had forty guests, it rained the whole time, but the night was great due to the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff. The outside ceremony was supported with a 6m 6m marquee my daughter...hired a week earlier when we knew it would rain. Despite the difficulties everything went well and we had no issues with Kate our venue manager or her support staff who were friendly, attentive and welcoming. This is not always the case even at much more expensive venues! The building is showing its age and could do with a good paint, but inside the restaurant everything was laid out beautifully, the dance floor was installed and they catered for our projector and screen for a special video during speeches. The big surprise was that the food for each course was delicious, not just good and the staff were always bringing out food and drinks which made the night a great time for all.
