Tanpopo Sushi - Melbourne

Having been to Japan multiple times, it's safe to say very few Japanese restaurants provide an authentic Japanese experience. However, Tanpopo is a perfect little Western Japanese restaurant tucked away from the busy streets of South Yarra. The food is great and the prices are low. It's become a regular destination for our family and friends, and we're never disappointed. The salmon sashimi is higher quality than any other Japanese restaurant with competitive prices, the gyoza are great, and the bento boxes are terrific.

The food at this restaurant is reasonably priced, but some dishes can be on the sweeter or saltier side. The service is top-notch, with friendly staff who always remember my dietary preferences. I would definitely recommend dining here!

Ordered delivery from these guys a week or two ago. The food arrived well within the given time. There were plenty of Vegetarian options on the menu which was a pleasant surprise. Had the agedashi tofu and vegetable tempura, both were delicious and fried perfectly. (Was stoned) so take my testimonial which a grain of salt. Delivery driver was friendly, prices are incredibly cheap and serving sizes are generous for what you're paying. Definitely a diamond in the rough, despite having an 8pm closing time. Check it out!

After a long drive from Sydney to Melbourne, the last thing we felt like doing was going out to eat. Luckily, I discovered a Japanese Sushi Restaurant that offers delivery. The variety of food was excellent, the wait time was reasonable, and the delivery person was very pleasant. The food was a hit with our group of 7, everyone loved it. The only downside was that the fried chicken and pork pieces were a bit tough, but overall we enjoyed the flavors and portion sizes of the dishes.

The service was friendly and efficient. The Japanese seafood pancakes (okonomiyaki) make for a delicious starter option!
