The Kathmandu Cottage - Melbourne

Perhaps it was the tiny sloping table in the corner they seated us at which made our experience here just a little disappointing. The food was good but not great and was reasonably priced. Perhaps we should return to sample different dishes and ask for a better table.

If you're after some cuisine adventures, you should pay a visit to this Nepali place. We knew nothing about the cuisine but tried some dumplings a couple of months ago in Auckland and we loved them. Not located in the CBD but you can easily reach it by tram from there - it's worth it. It was not very busy. The food was just delicious! We just took a couple of entrees and mains that we knew nothing about and just ate. Try the same! Great value for money. Watch out when making a reservation with a Groupon - they accepted our 5pm booking but opened only at 5.30.

Dined here last Friday night on a Scoopon voucher - $100 credit to spend on anything for $49 – great value. Dined as a group of 4. We enjoyed the momo’s & samosa for entrée, mains we go goat curry, chilli chicken and butter chicken with rice and naan and we had the gulab jaman for desserts and soft drinks all round. Food was good, service was average but friendly, overall value of the deal was great!

I recently had dinner with family and a friend here and it was lovely. Very friendly and prompt service and the food was delicious. It is very good value for money too especially seeings it's good that you can easily share. I have recently been to Kathmandu, Nepal and I found it to be quite authentic to what we ate there. Would happily return.

Around the corner from the Comics Lounge. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and had heaps of different flavours with each dish. I would love to come again and try other items from the menu.
