Contribuisci feedbackEverything is good about this place, the staff (incredible, polite, smiling, available), the decor (very beautiful and romantic as well), the food (real Indian food of high quality) and the ambiance. One of the very best restaurant we have ever made in India. Do reserve in advance for a window and come around a time when daylight goes down as you will enjoy the view before and after with the lights at night).
DELIVERY<br/ Ordered via Deliveroo.<br/ Delivered on time and piping hot.<br/ <br/ QUALITY<br/ Ordered both a chicken and lamb curry, with a single large rice, some Naan bread and a poppadom pack. The chicken was chunky sliced breast meat, and the lamb was cubes of lamb meat. Neither of the curries were hot in spice ordered this way) so I cannot comment on how hot TYI dishes are. I can say the Korma and Madras has a perfect balance of spice, cream and texture. Naan bread was served hot and flavoursome, as were the poppadoms.<br/ <br/ VALUE<br/ The large rice $1) was ample for 2 curries. Compared to expensive alternatives in the area, The Yarra Indian delivered a great meal at a reasonable price.
We've only ever ordered takeaway off Menulog but we love the curries. It's our go to for Indian takeaway, favorite dish is the lamb korma, we order it every time. Also love the samosas.
I love this place quick, cheap and really delicious. Well worth a try if you are in the neighborhood. Their chicken tikka rolls make a great quick lunch, their lunch dinner packs are good value at about $10.
Yarra Indian in South Yarra serves some of the best Indian food in the area. I always order their vegetarian dishes and highly recommend it to all my friends. The wait time can be long when it's busy, but the delicious food is worth it.
